Alcatel To Release Windows Phone 7.8 Based Onetouch Phone Later This Year In Russia | WMPoweruser

Chinese company TCL which sells devices under Alcatel Onetouch brand is planning to sell Windows Phone 7.8 based device later this year in Russia. Alcatel’s official account posted pictures of the device yesterday. We can infer from the photos that the device will have 5MP camera and will come in different colors. The device will be targeting low-end smartphone market where Windows Phone holds pretty good share in Russia with device such as HTC Mozart.

That doesn't look like Windows 7.8.

I am interested in the SoC used. I wonder if they will support the MTK6577 chipset from Mediatek or RK3066 from Rockchip.
It's most likely a Snapdragon S2, still, I hope MS gives more certifications to more chipset providers to get the Chinese OEMs in action.
