    I paired the surface with a speaker. if works fine. If I type using touch keyoard, the typing beep is played on the speaker. if using touch cover keyboard, it stays silent.

    I encountered two other issues today. random "touching" on the top left corner. looks like surface created the touching action by itself. I have to power off to get ride of it.

    keyboard stopped working. restart made it work again.

    sounds are playing as by design. Cannot speak to your other issue.

    why plays sound when using touch keyboard, not touch cover key board?
