If the developer of Minecraft wants to continue to snub Windows RT, the Dev community will step up and sweep him aside. Check out this version of Minecraft called Blockworld for Windows 8/RT. It needs a little polish but its a great start!

I don't agree with Notch's outlook on Windows 8/RT, but I still find all the blatant Minecraft rip offs to be distasteful. Holding off on this for now, hopefully Mojang may reverse their position eventually.

Is this really mindcraft (ie you can connect to Minecraft world) of is this just a copy of Minecraft with its own servers and such?

No, its not. Its a look-a-like. You can interact with blocks, build structures(I think) etc.. Its not bad, but it's no minecraft

i'll wait for the idiots at mojang to come to their senses and write an official minecraft port. Win8 is not going away so they might as well start porting.

It runs fine on Windows 8 as a desktop app. If you're looking for a Win RT version, I'm sure that if they ever port it it's going to be the pocket edition they port.
