So, I've owned my Surface since launch day. I love it, and have no regrets.
I just recently started having an issue where the battery seems to be draining quite quickly under basic web surfing, etc.
I just lost about 10% in about 10 minutes of surfing. 1% a minute? Before, I'd maybe lose about 1% in 10 minutes.
How can I find out what is running that is draining the battery? I have installed an SDCard recently....could that be it? I've also been installing a lot of different apps too.
Thanks for the help! - 01-02-2013, 10:54 AM #5
If thats doesnt shed light on the App, you can try this:
Guided Help: Get a detailed Power Efficiency Diagnostics Report for your computer in Windows 7
It works on the Surface. Likely you will see a warning about an App or piece of hardware malfunctioning - 01-02-2013, 02:23 PM #6
what johninsj said, did you try rebooting the tablet? this will kill any open apps that are bugged and killing the battery.. if after the reboot it's fine, then you can track down the issue.
my surface has AMAZING battery life.. i can get 2 days of minimal use before needing to charge. Last night my surface was at 30% battery and i pulled it out and used it for 3ish hours with xbox music and another open app for a game i was playing with my friends. the screen wasn't turned off at all either for those 3 hours. battery was at 4% when we were done. That is some pretty heavy use i'd say. - 01-07-2013, 09:15 PM
