I just figured out you can pinch out the start screen and select a group of apps like you would an individual app and give that group a name. This goes a LONG way towards putting some organization around the start screen. MS should have made some default named groups to give people the hint.

I've seen it labeled before in demos so i figured out how to do it on my desktop long before i got my surface haha...but great hidden tip.

I still think it is a shame MS doesn't do some of this out of the box. It would help preception a lot about the Start Screen since it would give parallels to the Start Menu concept.

Because just like WP8, its so the user is free to personalize anyway they see fit.
