Your story is amazing! One thing I've hated about my iPad2 is how delicate it is. After having it only a few weeks, I picked it up one day and the volume wasn't working. When I reached sor the volume control, I found a big dent in the case. They gave me a courtesy replacement, but told me that the edges were very easily damaged by putting them in a book bag crammed with too much other stuff! I still have no idea how mine got damaged. Eventually, the replacement got a big dent too, when I hit it on the edge of a table - not even very hard. Fortunately, it didn't render it inoperable like the previous dent. I also have a big catch in the screen, and no idea where it came from. Glad to hear the surface is so much more durable!

Oh wow I just noticed your reply. Yen when I had that surface, software was all fine. Everything worked completely right until exactly two weeks later the exact same thing gapped but the surface didn't survive that time.... Hana been a while but the day feels like just yesterday!
