    I am not home yet so i havent been able to configure or try my surface.

    So to get files on to your surface, is it drag and drop? please tell me it is!

    It is. To get my photos and videos from my nexus I used the desktop interface, dragged all my photos to the photo library and all my videos to the video library. Then in metro all your stuff just appears there.

    so as I asked in another thread... how do we edit any of our media within the Xbox Video app? it has made a mess of my video library and just gargled them all as "other".

    Can you drop files onto the Surface from a Windows machine, does it appear as a device on your LAN?

    I think they stated it will be back over the summer.
