I've had the type cover since day one and don't have any scratches on my screen.

Picked up type cover with my Pro on launch day. No scratches or wear.

Its not that hard and the screen is definitely not weak. Like worrying that your jeans would scratch a diamond.

The Gorilla glass is definitely harder than the plastic keys. So there is really nothing to worry about.

The main reason it doesn't scratch is that the keyboard is actually slightly recessed below the rubberised layer surrounding the keyboard. I only really use my type cover and I've had no scratches as per all above!
