Well, If money is no object go with the extreme pro because the read/write speed on the pro will be superior to the standard UHS card (although both are UHS) and since you're planning on using it as a HDD in your surface, the experience will be less frustrating.

Also consider, if you plan on the 64 GB surface just upgrading to the 128 GB. Would be a lot faster and more cohesive storage than with a larger MicroSD like that for only marginally more money.

I just picked up one of these online here in Australia for $70 AUD including shipping (and I've seen them for $65) so you might be able to find it a little cheaper than the $80.
