I am one of those people who has wonderful battery life. I use my phone TONS and can go several days on one charge.
This problem that the OP is describing, I believe It's how the OS handles apps....

Same problem here. I have had my 920 since last December. I have had WONDERFUL battery life. I have not installed any apps since January. Over the past week or so, I have been having (what seems)...

The best mount I have used so far is from amazon. It mounts to the cd slot. Its fantastic.

Yes, this is exactly tthe problem. Its consistent. Also happens when using wired headsets as well. lets say you are listening to music, press pause, disconnect your headset and walk into a meeting....
I like the idea of the OS automatically handling apps, but when I can prove thats its not doing it well, to me its more of a marketing blerb than reality. Maybe the next patch will fix it.
Sorry, not metrotube I meant metroradio.
I don't know what to believe. Right now, I always back button out of every app unless I want it running in the background (nav and metrotube). I can see a huge difference in battery life when I close...

No. This would have to be apart of the operating system. This can only come from Microsoft and/or maybe Nokia.
There are lots of choices on the APP store. I personally use Metrotube 99.99%...

My glass making friend says that curved glass is actually stronger than flat.
My workmate has a 2012 Ford F150 with SYNC. The bluetooth works for playing music, but he can't get the song name/artist to show on the screen. He had the same problem with iPhone. Any ideas here?

For a wonderful Bluetooth headset, the Pro Plantronics works great. Bluetooth crystal clear at 40 feet, music, call answer and hang up, voice command, etc. Just a great headset.
There is no way, that I have found, todo a full backup and restore of wp8. Your phone will backup your key settings, SMS, call history to SkyDrive automatically. Though, your start screen settings,...

These days, requiring VPN for email connectivity is pretty old school. SSL is widely accepted and secure.

I don't get this at all. These phones sync directly to exchange. No cloud needed.
- 01-31-2013, 06:56 PM
I am having a hard time understanding that last step.
- 01-31-2013, 05:47 PM
Thank you for the tip. We will try it out.

Hello. So I have been working in IT for many years. Troubleshooting/process of elimination is standard/daily affair where I work. So we have been testing 3 Nokia Lumia 920's. We really like them...
The 920 will charge in my LandRover (using the built-in USB port). I think it largely depends on how much power the car is providing to the USB. This doesn't have todo with the phone. Much like...

My Lumia 920 has never ever crash or froze. Not once since over a month having it.

Video calls are always going to be data. Though, it is quite possible for a carrier to determine you are using video and not charge you for that data usage. I have never heard of that here in the...

Charge it every night for over a month. I basically just use the wireless charger. No issues
- 01-16-2013, 09:06 AM
I don't think a case will stop it from charging unless its metal.
- 01-12-2013, 10:34 PM
I have the same problem. It happens no matter which music app I use. Its really annoying.

Well, about 10 minutes ago I saw my wife's Nokia Lumia 920, slip out of her hand bag and hit the pavement. She had the bag strap in her hand, which positions the purse close to the ground. It...

Yeah, there must be something wrong with that particular one. I live in the South Bay and have driven all over (north bay, east bay, central coast) and have very good reception. Much much better...

Not rebooting. No freezing. White on ATT.
I had my phone GPS act crazy for a few days. A reboot fixed it.

Thank you very much for trying. I really appreciate it.
If not too much of a problem, do you mind try sending to a gmail account. When you receive the invite it should come under the primary...

Considering I don't have this issue on the iPhones, Andriod, and blackberry phones here, I would say this is an issue Microsoft needs to address. They are being pretty responsive on Twitter, so...

I hear you. Though, Microsoft does support it until 2017.
I do believe this is purely a Windows Phone 8 issue and not Exchange 2007 one. But only time will tell.

Take a look again. On the receiving side, I looked at the email header of the Calendar invitation. The email header does come from my primary email address. THOUGH, the calendar invitation (the...

Thank you for the feedback. I wonder if this is an Exchange 2007 + Windows Phone 8 issue (using them in combo). I have just now removed and re-added my exchange account from my phone 3 times. Same...

I have a corporate Exchange 2007 account for work. My corporate email account has several Alias's. This is very common in a company email account. For example: Primary email...
The Speck case found at ATT stores is a great case. Fits perfect and protects all sides very well without feeling too bulky (ymmv).

This happens to me when I use the Amazon app and use it to scan barcodes. I am on the newest phone update. A reboot of the phone fixes it.
I have also had the amazon app break the phone's "back"...

I have not had any of these problems.

This functionality just proves how off base Microsoft is when it comes to Music and Videos. It's so strange that it's not intuitive. Frankly, I feel the music app is the weakest part of the...

The camera on this phone finally lives up to all the hype. The update changed everything. The pictures are amazing with this phone.

Hello and thank you for the help.
I really like Windows Phone 8 and my Nokia so far. One of the things I loved about my iPhone was when I used google maps to search for a company, I could...

When setting up groups of contacts, is there a way to turn off live tile updates for the group? I am using a group pinned to my start that has my "Most Called" people. This way I can click this,...

Thank you for the tip! I will try that.

My biggest issue so far is the picture quality. It's soooo bad at night compared to my iPhone 4s. My wife and I took the kids to see christmas lights in the park last night, and all my pictures...

Hello. I just got this phone yesterday. I am coming from an iPhone 4s.
I like the Nokia Drive navigation program. While its pretty simplistic, it seems todo the job. Only thing missing is...
