Anyone with a Focus 2 get the 7.8 update yet? I tried forcing it last night and didn't work.

US AT&T here, by the way.

Just to let you know, I intend to email AT&T about my Focus S, and while I am at will include all Samsung 7.5 devices. So, if I get any response, will let you and other Samsung threads know.

Well, Xytal, here is my email to AT&T:

A3:My wife, myself, and several of my friends have Windows Phones
devices. We are curious to what information we can get concerning the
WP 7.8 update pending for our devices. I have the Samsung Focus S, my
wife has the HTC Titan 2, and my friends have Samsung Focus 2 and the
Focus Flash. Any information on when we can see this update? The Nokia
900 is already recieving it, and we are curious.

Unfortunately at this time we do not have a date for the Windows 7.8
update for the devices you mentioned. For more information on Windows
updates you can visit Windows support website at Support - Microsoft Windows Help.

I did go to Microsoft, but their Web site is among the least user friendly you will EVER try to surf. As far as I can tell, there are only generic "coming features", and I have had no luck finding a place to email a rep. I will continue to look though. I am not way worried yet, as there is a promise from Samsung to update all their WP 7.5 devices to 7.8:

I spoke to Samsung on 2-7-13 and was told the 7.8 update for the Focus 2 would not be out until the end of march. :-(

End of March! I thought Microsoft was driving this update to all Windows Phone 7.5 devices. Is AT&T the holdup?

At this point it sounds like March.. which is annoying, seeing as Samsung doesn't really do anything different to the phone. >

Hi there! I DID!...using the "seven-eighter" tool I was able to update my unlocked Focus 2 with no problems - IMPORTANT: select ALL the Language Packs. The only thing I seem to be missing is the digital time display that is usually in the upper right corner.

If it was my phone, I'd be willing to try that... but seeing as it's my Wife's phone... yea, that could turn out badly. =\

Hi there! I DID!...using the "seven-eighter" tool I was able to update my unlocked Focus 2 with no problems - IMPORTANT: select ALL the Language Packs. The only thing I seem to be missing is the digital time display that is usually in the upper right corner.

Can confirm I also used the seven-eighter tool to update my Sammy Focus S. Just make sure you check which languages you have installed and check the boxes in the tool and you're good to go. Loving the new start screen and Bing wallpaper updated daily!

Samsung reports that the 7.8 update is out as of 1/23/13. Today I was updating the girlfriends Focus 2 and it came up with it!!!!

ATT has released the 7.8 update for the Focus 2!!
