One thing great about the Ativ is in the 4.8 inch screen, you guys can fit a lot more in one glance than our 8x

the resolution is the same, so you're working with the same pixel count, which means the same amount of tiles. The only difference here between the 8x and ativ s is the physical size of the tiles.

I actually wish the Ativ S used WXGA 1280x768 instead of hte 720p format. I don't like how you can't quite get 8 tiles to fit, especially with clipping the notification bar.

I wondered about this: how many rows of tiles were possible. Almost 8 which means 32 tiles max. Quite good. I reckoned 7, so only 28 tiles.
Maybe only 28 (7x4) on the 8s and the L 620 then because of the different resolution. Anybody knows?

on my lumia 920 i currently have 11 rows of tiles at 4 tiles per row. i'm pretty sure it can go past that even. the lumia 920 is 1280x768.

Judging by the first homescreen posted, you can fit plenty, and then some.
