The Samsung Stifle. Verizon's doing it. So are others. Click on the link below to read an article about the obvious:
Interesting: Analyst says carriers are intentionally suppressing Samsung’s Windows Phones | WMPoweruser
Had Verizon decided to not stifle Samsung and if they would have released the full blown ATIV S at the same time the 822 and 8X were released, I would have been left with a tough decision to make. Aggravating how these carriers are killing phone technology and user adoption. Exclusive contracts, throttled bandwidth, holdbacks on upgrades, delayed releases, blah, blah, blah. The only reason VZW is a head of the pack is because of some good LTE and technology decisions. Other than that, VZW swims in the same cesspool. The dummied down ATIV Odyssey is Example #1. In a month or so, you will see Example #2 with the Nokia 922. Could have, should have, would have been released at the same time as the 920 but VZW decided to hold off. Don't be fooled. Verizon is not doing us any favors.

It must be an American thing. In Canada, the Ativ S is offered on all the major carriers.
