I'm a big fan of cars and motorsports but I've never seen a post related to cars here before.

Anyway, let's get started. My dream car has always been a BMW M5 E60. Simply put, the car has an amazing V10 engine producing 507PS and a sweet sound that you just can't get anywhere else. This car is like a Ferrari F430 but with a big boot and 2 extra occupants. Yeah, that's what Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear describe this car though. Simply put, it's among the fastest and sweetest handling 4-door saloon out there!

But what's my favourite obtainable car at the moment? A BMW 320d. Yeah, what else can I say? This is the best handling saloon out there that you can ever get. Diesel is very good in fuel economy and the engine delivers a really big torque. I like the looks of it and for the price of MYR230k, why not?

I've driven both of them and they're freaking tastic! Currently, I own a Proton Persona Elegance. It's just a basic car, cheap, economic and takes me to point A and point B without any problem. I have yet to plan on changing though but yeah that 320d is obtainable.

I own a 2007 Honda Civic coupe and my wife has a 2011 Honda Fit Sport. My dream car is an Audi A8 and my wife wants an Audi Q7. Its attainable, but we're holding off for a few years. I'm in the middle of a career change right now and going back to school. But these cars are our goals.

Can I share a little superstition with you on how to obtain your dream car? As a child I was taught that an old Asian superstition is to put money (a few change is fine) on your window pane and it's supposed to bring wealth into your home. In high school I took that a step further and actually put a picture of a Mitsubishi Eclipse and later that year I got exactly that! Then I did that with the Audi A4 and I guess what I got? Yep an Audi A4 (granted it was used). See a pattern? I know it sounds silly and probably psychological in the way that it helped me focus on my goal, but I got my dream cars. :)

My favorite car is the Saleen S7. This is a picture of the Saleen S7 TT Comp. No need to describe the car just look at it! Ok I'll say a little, a super rare super car with a pushrod V8. It has all kinds of aerodynamic features and has a respectable racing history.


This is my current car/ realistic dream car, a 92 Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4. It came with a 3.0l V6 twin turbo making 300hp and 307ft lb tq, full time AWD, all wheel steering, active exhaust system at the push of a button, and active aerodynamics. And who says sports cars get bad gas mileage? I can drive from LA to Sacramento on less than one tank of gas!

Yeah mate, thanks for sharing and I did exactly just that. I put a picture of the M5 in my car, in my wallet, in my phone and.. It's everywhere! :p

A used E60 M5 is selling for around MYR200k more than the 320d right now and I think in a couple of years to come, that will also be attainable for me.

My present car is a Q-ship of the first order, 1996 Olds Aurora with Quad-Cam 32-valve V-8, slightly massaged ;-). Eats Bimmers for breakfast and is invisible to da fuzz. Definitely NOT your father's Oldsmobile.

Im a big Car-fan and Im currently watching through all episodes of Top Gear UK for the fourth time :)
I switch car two times a year. Every spring i buy a reasonably priced convertible and every fall I trade it for something more winteri. So far Iv'e had a Barchetta (best car ever), a MX-5 and a SLK.
Your question is excellent but soooooooo hard, but here is how I feel at least today.

Bugatti Veyron and Rolls Royce Phantom are my dream rides. Would like a BMW 850 (damn you Michael Knight) just reminds me of a nice European KITT. Achievable, currently just my poxy little Renault Megane. Hate it, but it was free, so can't complain. Not worth more than £500. Aiming for a better one for this time next year.

Very nice. I snagged a 94 trans am with the 350 LT1 v8 engine with the turbo transmission for a grand several months ago. Needs a tad of TLC but it's a fantastic car for the price
