Native American jewelry and crafts are definitely American. For some good unique gift suggestions it depends on where in the states you're going.

If you visit Europe, almost everything you can buy in the States is already here in stores. Just bring a cool T-Shirt

For me, Native American crafts would only really work if you're Native American or have some cultural connection, if not it would just seem a little forced to me.
