So I downloaded the latest version of Fedora 18. I go to install it and it doesn't auto login, I find this:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=854722 but there is no liveuser account
Then I find this work around:
Can't login on FC18 Live Gnome - FedoraForum.org
So I created a new user, logged in, but now there is no way to install the live CD. What a mess.Check out the great deals on Windows Phone Accessories: http://store.wpcentral.com - 01-17-2013, 03:56 PM

Found the work around for installing. You need to start it from the shell. What a mess!

If I'm going to use Linux, I'll use Ubuntu. I prefer it to any other Linux distro.

I've always used wubi to install Ubuntu. Last time I tried to install Ubuntu to my computer without that I managed to lock the bootloader so I couldn't access any OS...
Nah, like I say above, I've only ever managed to successfully install Ubuntu via wubi. Am looking into a triple boot though.Windows Phone Central Moderator "Fortune cookie said: 'Outlook not so good'. I prefer mint over Ubuntu. I think its more user friendly. I haven't played with Linux since I installed windows 8 except to setup some internet terminals for shared computers (I don't have to worry about them getting wrecked by viruses). I use mint xfce for that so I can give them older computers.
I do like fedora but its been a couple years since i dabbled in it. - 01-18-2013, 10:04 AM

Love using Linux (Ubuntu) for web hosting and server management, or even BSD with FreeNAS. But in the desktop world, I've just never been able to get on with it. That's entirely down to personal preference though.
