So I just factory resetted my phone and it's still has the gears going. It's been an hour. Is this normal? I had about 17GB of stuff on the phone.

As mentioned on another thread, leave it til the battery depletes then it should recharge normal. If not, see the bricked phone sticky.

You may have bricked it. I would take it back to where you bought it, if it doesn't fix it within a few hours.

Should be covered by warranty.

I just sold this phone on eBay and was just now resetting the phone to factory settings. I held down the buttons to reboot the phone and just went back to the gears.

What worked for me when I did a reset was to remove the SIM card. After about 5 or 10 minutes, the phone was fine. Before I removed the SIM, I had the spinning gears for almost 2 hours.
