I've only gotten this phone for 3 days now but the battery is worrying. There are only 3 apps which are currently running a background agent (amazing weather, twabbit, battery widget) but during night it goes from 100% to around 85% in around 8 hours of standby. As a comparison my iPhone would drain only around 5% in the same time. So what could be causing this? I have NFC disabled btw.

Well I've read NFC is a big one. Some searching also says to limit your data usage to 3G (though that option isn't on my phone).
I personally have Bluetooth and WiFi off unless I'm using it, automatic brightness, and use battery saver when push isn't necessary. I can usually make it through the day but more often than not I'll be close to dead near quitting time (I stream a lot).
Still iPhone is beating my Lumia 920 in battery life even with those adjustments and similar usage.
Though I'm sure some of these cats have better tips. Hope it helps. - 02-04-2013, 06:38 AM #4
