As battery life was severely worse after the latest update.
Did the Settings / About / Reset My Phone.

That was 45 minutes ago and the gears are still turning on it.

The Microsoft web site said that it may take a while. But this seems long.

Anyone got guidance or experience with this?

I did mine last night, after 1 hour i plugged mine in and went to bed. when i woke up it was done

Happens to me also.

do the 3 finger reboot. It worked for me.

Volume down + Power + camera button

I did the Volume down + Power at first. While it did reboot, it went back to the Cog Wheel.

Anyway, worth a try.

I've been going back and forth on factory reset for battery life problems. One of these days it will aggravate me to the point where I will try it. Good to know what to expect as I'm very impatient.

LOL. Same here.

I factory reset my Android phone quite often, and even try different ROMs just for kicks.

Would be good if we can do the same with the Windows phone.

I thought the bricked ones got stuck on the AT&T screen. Mine is on the gears. Not particularly happy now.

Simply said - IT WORKED - Thank you.
After 4+ hours of spinning gears, I did this reboot, it went to the cog wheels for a few minutes then came back up.

I was in infinite cog wheels and I had to flash it. I honestly don't think the software one works.
