And the good new for UK users on EE....... just spoke to a member of their technical team on an unrelated matter who told me that they have not got the update to look at yet, he said they are expecting it in the new year and it will be released only after it has been tested properly on the network. He said it will more than likely be available around mid February.

So, is there any way possible to obtain the update by other means?

Nokia begins Windows Phone 8 OS update for AT&T and Rogers | Windows Phone Central

Now for some not-so great news. For those who are not on AT&T or Rogers, the Portico OS update and firmware enhancements are not expected to go live until early February 2013.

That just makes me really angry. It's ok to have to wait for a week or 2. But 2 months?! WTF.
