"read aloud incoming text messages is on"
Everything is checked to on.
I realized two things.. you have to have ringer on and it won't work If you have the text messages open.
The voice tells me who sent the text then asks me if I want to hear it.
Can I have it reading the texts without me giving the ok?
Also anyone know of any apps that is better and any apps that reads out the caller when I'm getting a call or calendar? - 12-05-2012, 10:10 PM #2
On your first question, AFAIK you always have to give it the okay before reading it, the idea being that if you are sent a discreet message you would have the opportunity to not have it be read alout automatically.
As to your second question, the Windows Phone SDK does not allow Store apps to access your received messages and call log so apps that read out calls are not really possible. And I think the same goes for Calendar apps, which only have limited access to your onboard calendar entries.
