You can sign up with an AT&T MVNO. Since they run of the AT&T network, you wouldn't need to unlock your phone.
Some AT&T MVNOs that offer prepaid services includes Net10 & Straight Talk(both part of Tracfone). There's also H20 wireless.WPCentral's Resident Elitist :D - 11-14-2012, 07:11 PM #6

That is essentially true, their policy is that the phone must be off contract and your account in good standing.
Here is the reality of it though, your plan is actually the 2 year deal not the phone itself, so you can actually get the unlock code eventually once exclusivity ends in about 6-months.
Im sure this site will post something, just go to att international chat and say you need it to use out of country. That is what i did with my 900. - 11-14-2012, 07:51 PM #9
AT&T is crap at these exclusive. Rogers from Canada is better at this. A guy from XDA said that he called Rogers after he bought the 920 and they actually unlocked it for him, the only downside is that he will have to pay $50 to get it unlocked. So for AT&T, I think they could do that but they are just greedy.

I would pay $50 not to deal with AT&T. Currently running the 920 on straight talk.

True to an extent. While you are officially eligible for a free unlock after you had it for 2 years (because of contract), you can easily get it unlocked from AT&T for free AFTER 6 months if you know how to ask. Or just buy an unlock online AFTER 6 months. 6 months is because AT&T will release codes after 6 months like they did with Lumia 900.

That's interesting, I talked with customer support on Saturday and asked about getting an unlock code. I told them I'm on getting out of my contract (Somehow I got out of paying $ to break the contract early) next week and they said once I'm out of my contract to give him a phone call back and he will have an unlock code for me that same day.
