Why do you want a case for it? Serious question.

Not really, I only see Otterbox cases.
Phone History (hopefully in order): Samsung SGH-D407 > AT&T (HTC) Tilt > Sony Ericsson W580 > Blackberry Curve 8900 > Sony Ericsson C901 > HTC Touch Pro 2 > Blackberry 9700 > iPhone 3GS > Motorola Defy > Blackberry 9650 > iPhone 4 > Nokia E71 > Dell Venue Pro > HTC Titan > HTC Titan II > Lumia 900 + Samsung Galaxy Exhibit > Nokia Lumia 920 + Nokia Lumia 521 + Motorola RAZR V3xx

This is going to be the first phone - in a while - that I don't use a case for.

Let me ask you...do you have any tips on how not to drop a phone? I don't set out to drop mine but sure enough it could happen. I would like to leave mine out of the case but would like to know what you do to prevent accidental drops.
I am a solo IT guy at a metal building company and I often have to go into the steel shop. I try to keep my phone in a belt case or pocket. Perhaps if I don't get a case, I just wont walk with it or handle it carelessly.Thanked by: - 11-11-2012, 04:21 PM #13
Help protect it from large drops. Help keep superficial damage and scuffs/scratches to a minimum to help retain resale value. Peace of mind.
All legitimate reasons to get a case. Some of us upgrade out devices every year (or even more often) and one way that we subsidize this habit is by keeping our devices in good condition so we can sell them on ebay/CL to help offset the costs of upgrading. I didn't do this with my lumia 900 and now the raised metal edge that separates the screen from the polycarbonate shell is chewed up, and this is only after normal use. The silver strip around the camera lens is also scuffed. - 11-11-2012, 04:44 PM #14
Serious question: Why wouldn't you want a case?
I mean, you do not even need to use it 24/7. But, isn't the wise man the one who realizes it is better to have and not need then to need and not have?
I work in a boiler plant, and I need a case. I like my phone, and would like it to stay nice. Hopefully, a 920 is in my future (turn of the year-ish), and I expect to be rough on it. So.... a case it is......"So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work during the days God gives them under the sun."

I want to protect my phone...for now, I ordered a cheap but nice looking belt case from Amazon...gonna try to keep the phone "naked" for a while and try to be careful it. I've had Otterboxes in the past and while they take away the sexiness of a phone, by golly, they do work!

When I bought mine yesterday the AT&T store had Speck Candyshells avail for the 920. Which was a little surprising since Speck doesn't have them on their website.
