Today it lastet 16h on 3G network (mostly H+), while Wifi and Bluetooth were switched off. But because the phone is new, I tend to play around with it a lot. In my experience the battery starts lasting longer after a few days because of that. ;-)

What I noticed was, that very often the icon which indicates that GPS is active is shown in the status bar. The feature to save my position regugarly to find it easier via windowsphone.com is switched off, so I don't know which app is doing that.

I think you can purchase it now and choose to install later by email, it will be tied into your microsoft account so you can download it again on your phone when you get it.
