Just did a little search and found that at&t is offering a free black charging plate with purchase of the 920, the offer is valid starting 11/9. If there was a question as to the release date, I think that it's a pretty dead give away. Here is a link to a picture of the article https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resi...FoaGA-sA7vYx3g

The "10" also has 2013 behind it, so it appears this offer is good for a few months.
Nonetheless, I'll flip for the Nov. 9 date WHEN IT IS ANNOUNCED.
EDIT: And now it has been OFFICIALLY. Yay? - 11-06-2012, 08:52 AM

What it is saying is "buy one of the lumia's get the charge pad free" but the Retail value of the charging pad is $49. Also, you'll notice the text below that saying that they had to buy a crap-ton of black charging pads to do this, and other colors are not eligible.

This is true, taxes will be applied on the retail price of whatever it is, so if the retail price is $599, you are taxed on that.
I know south carolina is taxed on the purchase price or discount price. So if you buy it for $99 on contract, you are taxed based on the $99 amount. - 11-06-2012, 10:43 AM #22
It is $99 for the phone and the Charging Pad is free, it is all in ATT's press release. http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=23500&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=35656&mapcode=consumer|mobile-devices
Beginning Nov. 9, AT&T customers will be able to purchase the Nokia Lumia 920 for $99.99 and the Nokia Lumia 820 for $49.99. For a limited time and while supplies last, AT&T will also include a wireless charging plate – free of charge – with each purchase of a Lumia 920.
Pre-orders start tonight at 12am ET/9pm PT (11/7/12) - 11-06-2012, 10:55 AM #23
hmmm...I wonder what the chances are of same-day shipping from AT&T? if it's 2 day that means we would get the phones on Friday barring no shipping snafus...
red or cyan, red or cyan...arghhhhhhh
and I'm assuming corporate retail will have the full assortment of colors? - 11-06-2012, 11:36 AM #24
Is the free plate only if you sign up for a two year contract, or do you get it too if you buy the phone off-contract?
Phone History (hopefully in order): Samsung SGH-D407 > AT&T (HTC) Tilt > Sony Ericsson W580 > Blackberry Curve 8900 > Sony Ericsson C901 > HTC Touch Pro 2 > Blackberry 9700 > iPhone 3GS > Motorola Defy > Blackberry 9650 > iPhone 4 > Nokia E71 > Dell Venue Pro > HTC Titan > HTC Titan II > Lumia 900 + Samsung Galaxy Exhibit > Nokia Lumia 920 + Nokia Lumia 521 + Motorola RAZR V3xx

Has 12am PT for preorders to begin been confirmed?
I'm live chatting with AT&T right now hoping to get a definitive answer...
And of course just as I thought, her answer was...." I do apologize but we do not have a specific time when it sill start for the pre-order"
