Almost all the reviews for the lumia 920 has pictures in 16:9 format.
Please take some images in the 4:3 format and post it here

below is the Lumia 920 camera sensor details...
    Screenshot by Lightshot

almost all the images posted in the other reviews and by users like xsever are all 3552x2000 pixels. but according to the nokia white paper, it should be 3552 x 1998. 2 lines of pixel is not a big difference, but may cause crazy interpolation when the software is optimising the image or performing noise reduction.

so please check the pictures in 4:3 format for the resolution.

So according to the white paper, the 16:9 images are taken at 7.1 megapixels whilst the 4:3 shots are taken at 8 megapixels. Could that make a difference to the overall quality of the shot?

Looks like vixez's photos show 3264 x 2448 for 4:3 which is correct according to the white paper whilst the 16:9 shots are 3552x 2000 instead of 3552 x 1998. Maybe you could post pictures of the same thing in both 16:9 and 4:3 and see if the quality of the pictures are any different.

    Zolgi,
Actually both 16:9 & 4:3 is exactly 1:1 from the sensor.
Like in the Panasonic LX camera range.

    There is no cropping involved.
