Some of these low light shots I would never even attempt before with a cell phone, I am so shocked how well this does in terrible low light situations.

Lumia 920 wins in my opinion here easily.

Those washed out GS3 shots look just terrible. Lumia 920 photos are so full of colour and contrast. That washed out look is evident in all GS3 shots i have seen. You can immediately tell which shot is from GS3.

Yes, those were handheld shots. I can get blurry shots also especially when shooting ISO100 setting. Usually i can get that kind of quality. You just need to keep phone steady until camera is ready to take another shot.

Above photo has full 1 second exposure time and i promise that was handheld photo
Photo above is taken with Nightshot mode and ISO400 -2EV

Amazing shot for a 1 sec exposure HANDHELD! The OIS on this camera is incredible. Forget about other phones, I don't think even dedicated point and shoot cameras can give you that kind of handheld shots. Of course these are not as sharp as daylight shots, but one can downrez and sharpen it a little in post-processing and they look very legit on typical computers.

what's interesting those S3 shots on the device look great then on the PC it doesn't. S3 screen tricks you of your photos.

What if you take SG3 shot with -1 EV value? Guess there is option for that.

Here are some pictures I took on our trip to the grand canyon and out the window at home. Auto everything. Post Portico (I think).

Maybe someone can make a guide for getting the best night /low light shots? Or does it depend on the environment to know when to use certain settings?

Is it now 200iso and -2exposure value? Does the camera mode need to be on Auto or on night?

With the shots I'm seeing you guys taking, I think a guide would be very helpful to photo newbies like myself.

I personally have learned alot in forums by asking questions. With the 920 I'm getting best pictures in low light using 100-200 ISO and ever thing else auto except of my kids I'll use sport option sometimes.
Night shots I use 200 ISO and night or night portrait and just recently started adjusting the EV from -1 to -2 for real dark settings.
Just play within the ranges and take multiple shots to see what looks best to you then you can start getting a consistency going into a environment you will know what to out your phone at to maximize the potential of the camera.

ISO 100, everything else auto. No post-processing (other than what G+ does to it when it uploads). Skydrive link to the originals here for the curious and pixel-peepers: http://sdrv.ms/UjiQNr

Some close-up photography at SeaWorld. Settings were "Close-Up" on scenes. No flash assist, and no flash. Everything else on auto/default. No post-processing done.

Here's a video sample of one of the Shamu shows at night. The phone even gets heavily splashed on, which also occurred during a daytime show as well, which indicates the phone has some level of water resistance. Please view at 1080 to get the full experience.

I really like this one, but then again, I have this thing for getting shots with sun flare. I think it adds some drama to a scene. Also, I really like the dramatic bends in the road. Nice shot. ^_^

The official Nokia blog need to check their definition of bokeh, though - it's the subjective intangible quality of out-of-focus areas of a photograph, and it's usually used in sentences like "I prefer the bokeh of the Zeiss lens in the Nokia 920 over the Largan lens in the iPhone". What they're referring to is shallow depth of field.

Hey, what are forums for, if not to nit-pick? :P
