I think you can. I bought it off contract but I have a plan with Rogers. Price was $600 + $78 tax.

What city are you in if you don't mind me asking? My pre-order still says "In Progress" so I called half a dozen Rogers stores here in Edmonton, none of them have the 920 yet :@

If I may ask, what region are you in? I'm curious to find out if midsized cities are getting these, or just the cities the size of Toronto, Vancouver, etc.

Surprised at all the grainyness I see in most pictures taken with the 920 so far.. Coming from N8, I suppose it's a combination of a few things such as 4 megapixels less, no xenon flash (enough light makes a lot of grainyness go away), but also remember that you will just about never be looking at full size full res images anyways, but those pictures into a facebook size and it sure looks good enough.

But it seems I might be carrying my N8 still to school to copy schoolbooks I dont want to buy :P

But the 920 camera will probably be superior to the N8 camera in the fact in the has the image stabilisation, just that I rarely take any images that sorta have any need for that (except every picture in the sense that there is hand shake etc..), as my usual pictures are very much still pictures.

I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

More camera testing to be coming, but the pictures you saw were taken in very very low light.

First photo comparison with the Lumia 900!

    920 first then 900.

    I want it!

About the resuming behavior, if you have an app suspended and you go to the start screen to open it, does it launch from beginning again?

Ok thanks, and after talking to a Rogers Plus store employee, makes sense. He said that the Lumia 920 is available in select stores in Eastern Canada, with Western Canada to follow in the next week or 2.

I just tried opening the facebook app, then pressing the windows key, then re-launching the app from the start screen on both my 900 and 920.

The 920 loaded the app back again to where I left it from while the 900 had to relaunch it. 920 load time was instantaneous and 3-4 seconds faster than 900.

I like how "Profile" in ME tile is now "Share"

Could you please run us through all the settings menu? I am still not sure how Nokia demonstrated those Grouped tiles in their video that's floating around on this forum!!

These pictures were taken in very very very low light room.

My jaw is litterally on the floor! This is the peak of imaging innovation right now. I have no clue where all the light in the picture came from. I couldn't see the two items myself!

I just installed whatsapp and although the app has to relaunch when you re-open it, it relaunches almost instantaneously!

I figured as a comparison I'd upload some photos I took when I had my N8 for the first day. Most of them were outdoor though and looked amazing (except low light, in which 920 beats it hands down), also just took a photo of some random wine bottle I have around just as a comparison of indoors photo from your average user with default settings.

Note, these are N8 photos, not Lumia 920, but I put em here so you can compare if you want to how the new 8mpix pureview camera fares against N8s 12mpix and xenon flash.

Oh, that changes the playing field :D

Any chance for some very well lighted pictures and/or outdoor pictures with good light, supposing you still have some in Canada atm.

Hey xsev thanks for the quick review. Doesn't look like you're outside anymore in the parking lot. You wanted suggestions, was gonna as for you to take a quick 360 vid with the L920. Thanks for the rundown on the settings menu. Was wondering if you could show us what the black 920 looks with high contrast on with light/dark theme.

Thanks & congrats on new L920. Only 2 in store, wow! LoL

Also you need to update your sig haha

Here are some outdoor pictures I just took. Sandy is still causing a lot of heavy winds out there and it is very cloudy but I managed these.
