    Hello fellow WP lovers,

    I was thinking if somebody can tell me will the apps developed for WP7.5 be compatible with the upcoming WP8?

    Also are the apps developed dependent on the hardware lying underneath?

    Windows Phone 7.5 apps will work on WP8.

    The apps aren't dependant on hardware, but there are carrier specific and manufacturer specific apps. Ex. Nokia Phones will have Nokia Music and AT&T phones have an app to track usage and pay their billing.
