I will be on a phone call and notifications are played loudly. This seems like something that should be obviously a bad feature. I cannot hear the person I am talking to! How do i fix this?

I'd like to know too, I'm talking on the phone, volume at 10 for call and 20 for alerts and all of a sudden text comes in, damn scares me its so loud

A few of us have spoken about these issues in the past. Many Lumia phones have this - mainly the 900. There are some fairly annoying sound issues with alerts, games music and effects, and notifications, etc.

Not sure if this works, but try setting your phone to silent during the call if you need to. The only scenario I can think of where it would be annoying though is if you have messaging on and someone decides to spam bomb you with 30 messages in 5 seconds.

I had this same thing with my GS2 Skyrocket and Captivate Glide. While it can be sort of an annoyance, I've gotten used to it as I'm finding it's not that uncommon. Not sure if there was a way to turn that those off in the previous devices either so I'm not sure of a fix.

that horrible flaw has been around since 2010 and I have no clue why MS wont fix it. and it seems to ALWAYS happen when I'm on a call.
