I have a Lumia 800, and just received my Lumia 900 on the 6th. Does anyone know why the screen on the 900 isnt curved like the Lumia 800 and N9?

Dont get me wrong, the 900 is a great phone, but the 800's screen matches the body, and it makes it look waaay cooler.

There is an FAQ section on Nokia US website that answers this question - To manage weight for such a large phone. Curved glass tends to add more weight, and on 800 weight would have been more than what it is now.

The weight difference would have been worth it in my opinon.

I read somewhere that structurally they couldn't get a 4.3" curved glass screen made that was up to par (lensing, visibility, strength, etc). Basically they had the experience and could pull it off for a 3.7" screen but at 4.3" it was too much

The lack of curved glass does have one noticeable benefit: the phone is materially thinner than it otherwise would be

i am actually getting the 800 white just because of the screen. the front camera i can sacrifice.
