I have a few contacts where I changed their last names or I misspelled their name when I entered them. They are still displaying as their previous name in the contact list. When I go to edit it has the corrected name. Short of deleting and re entering is there a way to fix it?

Try go to settings, email accounts, long press Microsoft account then sync. See if that updates it

Just tried but it didn't work. These contacts were entered on a previous phone I had then imported over, not from my email. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

If I am not mistaken, which happens often LOL, I believe contacts imported over from another phone are stored as "read only" and can't effectively be edited, as you have discovered. I had a similar issue when I switched to WP and those that had issues I had to delete and re-enter. Well, actually it told me read-only contacts couldn't be delete, I had to just tell it to not show them. The newly entered contacts could be edited as needed.
