Ive been trying to find the right APN settings for my nokia lumia 822 on various carriers and just realized that after the PORTICO update the APN settings are gone.....is there others with this problem and how do i now get sim cards to work with it if i cant change the APN settings....PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME i got a tmobile card being shipped to me and im worried i wont be able to get it to work.

Bad news I'm afraid. Even if you download the link for access point it still won't work. I can't send text messages now.

I'm also facing same problem. Not able to send text messages anymore!! also not able to connect to internet using data connection!!!!

I had the same problem after portico update.Was not able to send sms. I am using 822 in India and what I notice is when I turn on sms delivery message, I get the message that mobile operator cannot send your message(something like that). Now here interseting point is , if I want to message at say +91 1234567890 then the error message from mobile operator says it cannot deliver to #011+91 1234567890 right now. So it automatically adds #011(in my case as prefix) and hence message never gets send. You can verify from your side if that happens.
As for the solution I flashed the firmware to the original one and now I am able to send sms again.May be older firmware has some bugs, but still I can use call, messaging data with ease now. I still prefer to use these fascilities first. Others like gaming music etc are secondary. I am going to stay on original firmware until something concrete for this problem comes.

Hi Sir ,

i am also a Lumia 822 user in Bangalore. I am unable to send text or any form of messages (Sim applications Failed status on starting the phone) although call and gprs works fine.
Can you please tell on how to roll back to previous firmware ? Is it through the Reset option in the settings or is there some other procedure you used. Kindly reply .

I'm on Verizon (USA) with a Nokia L 822 and haven't received the notice of the OTA (over the air) update to Portico? My wife, Verizon HTC 8X, received her notice of OTA update two weeks ago. She update to Portico and doesn't have any of the issues mentioned in the above posts. I know there is a way to force the portico update, but I wonder if the issues listed in the posts above have delayed the official notice for the L 822?

Have any Verizon L 822 owners received their notice? If so, did you install and have any of the issues in the posts above?
