I am on a roll! Converted 4 people here at work to Lumia 822's. One of them is coming from a Samsung Rugby flip phone and needs his contact off of it. I went to a website to see how to do it and it suggested putting the new SIM in the flip phone to copy to SIM and then I can copy to the Microsoft Account. Since this is a 4G sim, I wasn't comfortable with putting it in the flip phone.

Any other suggestions?

Verizon has some program they can download that will save the contacts online, then transfer to the new phone. I don't recall the full details, as I did it several years ago when switching from a flip phone to the Trophy and WP7. Check with Verizon for if it works on the 822.

Thanks! I'll check! I know they have that device that can copy them between the two devices...just not sure if the end user wants to go a Verizon store to do so.

Ha...perhaps. However, our CEO/President wanted a Surface after Oprah said it was one of her favorite things of 2012...so far, he doesn't use it much and is concerned about the money he spent on it. I tried to get him to wait for the Pro because he wants a real laptop replacement. I like the Surface but I ended up selling mine and got an ASUS Touchscreen laptop and love it more.

I traded up to an 822 from the Samsung Rogue. On Verizon, contacts are stored 'in the cloud' with the Verizon Backup Assistant Plus. Just add it to your people hub as an account and the contacts will be pushed to the 822.
