I am new to this community. I am planning to buy Lumia 820 in India. The India site of 820 does not state anything about LTE in 820. Will the Indian edition support LTE if i take the phone to a country with supported LTE bands?

May I ask some questions about Nokia Lumia 820
1) Is it support LTE?
2)where can I set my Nokia Lumia 820 for using LTE?
3) In my country we already launched LTE band III (1800Mhz) I can use USB-modem to access to our LTE but I use that simcard on my Nokia Lumia 820 and I can not use LTE only EDGE very slowly.
May someone can explain for me.

The 820 does have the capability. Ask your service provider if your phone can pick up that band. It supports 1800 band here.

I bought my phone on negrielectronics and the item description says that the phone uses this bands:

2G Network	GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network	WCDMA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network	LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600

Don't know if all the lumia 820 got the same bands in all the other countries.

In the UK it is advertised as having LTE capabilities. We just need to pop a LTE sim in the phone and download a mini update

Yes in India too it supports LTE, They Advertiste it as LTE ready I don't know what it means , but in my phonr I have a option to change over to LTE (India model of lumia 80)

Where abouts do you get the mini update from?? I have a lumia 820 in the uk on EE but 4G is missing from the connection speeds!

Nokia Dont seem to know and neither do the network HELP!!!!!

Its depends whether your connection, the chip which 820 uses is LTE ready but not activated in may varients. There was a method to flash the firmware which activats LTE but now as nokia has closed down its serves for public use a secondary option should be found !

yesterday i saw a L820 bought from saudi, in that there is an option to change to 4G..
But in my phone bought from india hand only upto 3G...
