Sorry I keep comparing it to the 8X, I am still deciding which one I want. 80% for the Lumia 822 though.

That's a really good off-contract price. I'm in for the Lumia. I just hope the battery life is pretty good on these devices.

I would almost guarantee the battery life is better than the 8x.

Both have an 1800 mAh battery. However the Lumia uses an AMOLED screen which usues less power. Also the screen has over 100 less ppi (Pixels Per Inch) so both of those factors mean it requires less power.

VZW rates the L822 at 15.07 hours of talk time and 20.25 days of standby.
The 8x is at 15.0 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby.

That's quite a big difference really. It means that even when idle the 8x uses almost twice as much power.

I don't blame you. The 8X is a very good looking device! Battery life is just more important to me. If the 8X had like a 2100-2300 mAh battery I would have a much harder time deciding.
