Yes Tmo does support Visual Voice Mail.
From what I have been able to figure out, is that when I turned on Visual Voice Mail it sends a file of your voice mail through the data side of your plan. This is nice for those of us that have limited talk minutes, but unlimited data.iPhone 3G

If you go to My T-Mobile online and go to Change Plans and Services, there should be an option under your line to Add Visual Voice Mail and it should say Free. Click that, submit your changes and wait for it (can't remember how long). Oh. You also have to set it on your device as well.
