Ok I am currently a Note 2 user and have found ways to sync my photos, calendar, and contacts between my phone and macbook pro. How well does WP8 handle this? Do they have ways to do it seamlessly?

What are you using for an email client on your Mac? You can sync photos gaily easy using the windows phone program. There is no way to sync contacts or calendars with the native Mail and iCal, you need to use something like google calendar and sync your iCal calendar with it and then either link your MS account to the google cal or add it to your phone.
