I just bought a htc trophy from ebay, yet was told it didn't come with a sim card since it was linked to personal account. So here's the confusing part: Do I need to buy a sim card to have it work on verizon/pageplus network? I've always been on verizon and lately pp+, but never heard any non-4G phone need a sim to be activated.

The SIM card in the Trophy is strictly used if you go outside the US. It is not needed for use in the US. Hope this helps.

I am selling my Trophy, so it I safe to leave the sim in it? I realize it is not needed in US, but I wonder if any personal info is placed on it anyway.
