    Hello all,
Does anyone know whether or not either currently or in future updates if the HTC HD7 will support Wi-Fi tethering to other devices (PC's, Tablets, etc)?

    Thanks!

There is speculation but at the moment there is no definite answer. I know that the HD7 can tether but the tethering function/option has apparently been disabled and many have attested that this is a carrier issue.

This might help http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/...ng-on-htc-hd7/ but remember that the usual disclaimers apply and do so at own risk.

HD7s are getting the update to tether but it's all up to the carrier to support it. India just go theirs. Other networks get the update but option is not available. I think every HD7 will get the update/driver but hopefully your carrier will allow it. Get the WP7 news app. That's the easiest way to keep up on all WP news.

I have an unlocked HD7 in Mexico with Telcel, and yesterday I got the "Software Update" notification (via the cellular internet).

    Radio software:
    Before: 5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U
    After: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
    Radio hardware:
    Before: 4.5.2250.0(129966)
    After: A.12.0.D4

"Internet Sharing" is now available in the settings menu, hang in there.

That's awesome news! Now I can use my HD7 to share the internet to my Titan until I either get ATT service or get ATT to give up the unlock code.

When Zune told me I had an update ready, I read the details and it said the internet tethering only.

Did your phone start it's life as an unlocked phone? if not, it's update should go by network

pretty sure it was, it was like many other people bought from ebay from singapore. i've never seen any sort of branding on it, other than the generic HTC stuff.

Well, if it isn't starting straight away when you plug your phone and fire up zune on your PC/laptop then im not sure. You could perhaps try the old trick to force an update. I know there is an article on another WP7 site about how to force mango, but it works for all updates if you are ude for one. Give it a look
