I'm stuck with 2G(E), playing the $40 plan for simple mobile.
I cant send pictures and the internet is not as fast as it should, I was suppose to get the first 250 MB at 4G.
any ideas on why?
I tried changing settings under cellular and connection set up, but no luck.

Call your provider. Sometimes its as simple as customer service forgetting to "flip the switch" on your account.

You've probably checked this but make sure in your network settings you've set the highest connection speed to 3G and not 2G.

Simple Mobile uses T-Mobile bands. Is your 8x an AT&T or T-Mobile variant? If it's an AT&T one and your area hasn't yet been refarmed by T-Mobile to run the 1900 MHz band then that would explain it.
