This morning, I woke up and my HTC 8X from Verizon phone was turned off. I turned it on thinking maybe the power was drained but it was at over 50%. Later that day, I tried to take a picture and the camera app flicks for a second and then goes back to the start screen. This happens with the camera button and via the icon. I deleted all the camera apps I've added but that didn't help. I also tapped the mysterious camera reset button in the camera app settings but still no luck. Then I got a few SIM card errors.
I've had the phone for about two months. I've had the random reboot issue only twice in that time. Other than that and today's issues, it's been flawless. I've tried a few other apps and those seem to function fine.
I've rebooted the phone several times but haven't tried doing a complete factory reset yet.
Does it sound like the phone is failing?
Thanks. - 02-13-2013, 11:39 PM #3
As far as I know Portico isn't available for us on Verizon yet. To the op, I would reset the phone. If you call Verizon odds are that's something they will ask you about.

If you reset the phone and it's still acting up you need to call Verizon.
