Couldn't find a dock for the 8X locally that would work so I rigged up something myself out of old computer parts.

You can always get the Nokia Wireless charging stand, and when you dont want to charge it, just unplug it

If he has the wireless Verizon 8X. Only that one has wireless built in.

Not on Verizon. It is a Rogers 8x.

Sorry about that. Being a Verizon Customer, I completely forgot that our 8x is the only one with wireless charging.
I know that the Otterbox case of 8x has the feature of being docked horizontally.
