It is possible, and there are a couple of video's on it already if you search youtube. From what I gather the process isn't very simple, as you need a strong heat source and you end up ruining the adhesive to put it back together again.

Why do you want to remove it?

Because the phone won't turn on and the Fully Charged green light just stays on constantly, making me think it's a battery issue. Plus, it happened after I set it on the Nokia Charging Plate.

removing the cover wont be enough. the battery is behind the lcd.

They gave a reason in the design video they released when they announced the phone. It seems they stacked components with the largest closer to the screen to smallest
farthest away in order to get the nice tapered effect the phone has. Just so happened that the battery was the largest component besides the screen.
