Like many others, my screen cracked within the first two weeks of usage.
I sent my phone in to determine cause of the crack which was not covered. Estimated repair was to cost $190. I opted to have the phone shipped back to be repaired at a phone company near my house who will replace the screen for a lower price.
Will having a repair company replace the screen void the warranty on my phone? Do I need to contact a specific authorized provider in order to keep the existing manufacturer's warranty?
Thank you for your time and help. - 01-26-2013, 03:41 PM #2
If the screen crack was not covered by warranty (the cause was determined to be physical damage), then the warranty is already void.
