Just checked on my storage on HTC 8x and found that the "Others" section makes a good 2.48 GB. Not sure what to do about it, Tried to sync the device and deleted some apps and cleaned the browsing history on IE but no luck.

Did you try deleting your maps history?

I was at 2.5 but got down to 2.06 after deleting maps history/IE history.

I'm using a 920.

Too much of a deal you say? So try having a 16Gb SDcard in a htc 8s for absolutely...nothing!! Reached a point that not even a <1Mb app is able to be installed! But, not much of a deal...LOL

Umm, no. I couldn't install Portico because it said I needed half a gig free. I did a backup, restore with the same apps, and it cleared up the over 3Gb that Other was taking so I could install.

I've had my 8x since launch day and my "other" is 1.33G.

also had it since launch, mine hit 6 gigs, couldn't sync my auto playlists with WMP anymore because it adds songs before deleting. Said the **** with it and got an S3. Maybe by the time WP 10 rolls around MS will have this phone thing figured out but I'm tired of messing with it
