I'm planning on switching from my Omnia 7 to an 8X next month. I'd love the red one, but only black and blue are available in the UK. Do we think the red will ever arrive here? I'm starting to suspect not and that I'll have to settle for blue.

Red is the Verizon exclusive BUT it is also the only true world phone. If you buy the red Verizon out of pocket then you can use it everywhere

$549 makes it cheaper than the UK sim free prices at today's exchange rate anyway.

Yes, and I did check that, but I still have to pay for the actual connection on top. This is an instance when buying on contract is cheaper. It's close, but the red isn't worth the extra cost and hassle of importing.
