Question about high contrast mode?

When I turn on high contrast mode my XBOX Music tile actually is a live tile, the word Music actually floats around all cool like and stuff. However when I turn off high contrast it just occasionally moves the XBOX logo...

Also, why does it make my lockscreen background black? No lockscreen wallpaper, just black.

I don't know why the live tile changes, but the background turns black so notifications can be seen easier from the lock screen. That's the way it is and there is no way to change that.

That makes sense, I just started messing with it today. Thanks for the info.
