I got my 8x on Monday evening. Overnight I charged it full and used it until it died...it lasted about 11 and a half hours. Since then I have noticed no improvement...taking it off the charger and not using it drains it about 5 pct in 30 minutes. Tap and send is off, auto screen brightness is on and I keep it connected to WiFi. This battery better improve.

I also noticed that on the home button, the top 2 squares illuminate about 2/3 as much as the bottom 2 squares (Windows symbol). Not a big deal but annoying with my OCD, lol.

Uninstall the HTC app and ATT Uverse app. They both run in the background and can't be turned off, so you need to delete them to remove them from the background.

Maybe turn off the attentive phone features and set mail to 30mins refresh. I had terrible battery life the first few days but now I get amazing battery life with moderate use. Tonight I came back home with %39 (14 hours since last charge).
