Right now I have everything on Normal which is the default. It the picture kinds seems a bit dull. I am wondering what setting other users are using that is giving them great optimization for their camera use

I use 8MP with contrast and saturation one step up. Rest I leave stock.

I only disable the face detection focus I leave the rest at default settings. Sometimes, the focus seems a little phased out but I hope HTC can updated its camera firmware going forward.
The 16:9 aspect ratio of 6MP is really good to share on mobile devices/computers. If you print your photos, use 8MP (4:3 ratio).
